Design Your Perfect Tilt Door
Tilt doors are great as they are extremely customisable. Although the frames are generally made standard to suit the size of the opening and the overall anticipated weight of the door, the cladding of the door is completely up to you. The only thing that really limits what you clad the door with is the weight. Making the door too heavy may cause operational issues with the arms/springs if you are running a spring type set up.
Some of the more popular claddings that we get requested for are Colourbond K-Panel, Western Red Cedar, Alucobond, Pressed Stainless Steel and Ply Wood. With a variety of cladding options, you can really customize your tilt door to suit the facade of your home.
The other feature that is becoming more and more popular is getting your tilt door flush mounted. This allows a seamless finish to the garage and really gets the garage door to blend in with the surrounding facade,
We offer both spring hinge type tilt doors which can carry up to 175kg including the frame, as well as counterweight style tilt doors that can carry about 250kg including the frame. This allows us to offer solutions to a range of garages with varying height restrictions as well as catering to our customers’ cladding suggestions.
